FINNART TOURNAMENT
Finnart will be having their annual under 13s tournament on the 23rd of May this year.
The teams competing in this years annual tournament at Glasgow Green are FINNART, WESTWOOD ROVERS, WEST HAM, CLAREMONT 2004, SHAWFIELD, SOUTH CAMLACHIE, EASTHALL and current holders EK BURGH. All teams to be there for 4oclock sharp.

SOUTHPORT SUPER CUP
Finnart under 13s took part in the Southport Super Cup over the May holiday weekend. Below is a summary of how their games went. Mind and check out how the boys are doin in the league by clicking onto the link at the bottom of this page.
MON THE STAR
The weekend started well for the young guns on their trip to Southport. On their first match versus Bare Rangers they drew 0-0 but had the chances to win the game easily still it was a good start to the competition and ensured the first point. The second match ended with a 2-1 defeat to Formby Juniors although during this match the young guns had their chances and a they dominated the match it always looked like one of those games that the opposition was always going to score against the run of play. But all in all it was a good start to the competition and the team where certainly in a bouyant mood going into the sunday.
The Sunday started with a match against the unbeaten Mount Pleasant Rangers and when all of a sudden the tournament organisers made the young FINNART play with a size 5 ball (adult ball) which they couldnt kick never mind anything else they ended up 6-0 losers, this was to put Finnart out of the competition with one game to go and before it the management asked for a bit more determination and effort and this they got when 3 goals from Yami ensured a 3-2 victory against Wideopen Juniors. A special mention has to go to Yamis first goal of the hattrick as he blasted the (size 4) ball past the hapless goalie.
The team had a great weekend and learned alot from the competition as the boys they played against where older alot bigger and stronger than young Finnart, the team however deserve alot of credit for the way they played the game and fought throughout the competition. The management would like to thank everyone who made this trip possible. MON THE STAR!
